Within the framework of the Social Protection Project carried out in cooperation with WALD, Sancaktepe Municipality, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), an educational and entertaining “Puppet Workshop” was organized for children aged 7 to 14.

During the puppet workshop, the children's social development was supported alongside their sensory and cognitive skills. During the event, the children painted and drew using their imaginations without any restrictions on puppet materials. Introducing the materials used and guiding the children to bring their designs into three dimensions, the workshop leader made a significant contribution to helping the children discover their artistic skills. At the end of the event, the children staged their own original puppets, developing their motor skills through movement and balance exercises. Thus, at the end of the workshop, each child owned a puppet character they designed themselves.

By the end of the workshop, children were enabled to make progress in developing their manual skills, revealing their imaginations, and expressing themselves.
