Over the past decade, regulations regarding the employment principles of foreigners in Türkiye have shown positive developments. Foreigners wishing to live and work in Türkiye now have far more opportunities thanks to the developed laws. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has approved 104,915 work permits in the last two years. Most applications were made from Istanbul, Türkiye's most important and populous city. At this point, the fact that foreigners are not well-acquainted with working procedures in Türkiye also causes them to miss out on certain job opportunities.

With the aim of minimizing the problems experienced by foreigners when entering business life, a mentorship activity was carried out under the leadership of the Bağcılar Social Protection Desk under the title "Accurate Information on Working Life." Organized with participants from both refugee and local communities, the study provided individuals with information about working life in Türkiye, as well as the problems they might encounter in work life, proposed solutions, rules, and procedures.

During the 4-week training delivered by Syrian national Hussam Rajab, participants were informed about important regulations regarding working life applicable to those who will work in workplaces subject to Turkish legislation, occupational health and safety, the obligation to obtain work permits for foreigners, the employment of foreigners granted temporary protection, prohibited professions, and work and health insurance.

In the fourth and final week of the program, topics such as CV preparation techniques, healthy job interviews, working procedures in Türkiye, employees' rights and responsibilities, and employers' rights and responsibilities were covered. Additionally, at the end of the program, participants were directed to ISKUR, and support was provided for them to register with ISKUR.
