The tenth Energy Efficiency Forum and Exhibition, which is one of the most important events of Turkey on energy efficiency, was held in Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Center on April 11-12, 2019.
In this year’s event, various forums were organized to share activities in Turkey and the world on energy efficiency, progresses and future provisions and exhibit new and innovative and technologies which enable to use energy efficiently and effectively at all stages from sources to final consumption. Fatih Dönmez, T.R. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources made an opening speech and pointed out that 1 million tons of oil equivalent energy was saved achieved in all sectors in 2017 and 2018 with approximately 1,2 billion dollars of investment.
The session “Good Practices in Energy Efficiency” was held on the second of the forum and moderated by Mehmet Duman, WALD Chairman of the Executive Board. Operators from private and public sector shared good practice examples in the session. Before the session, Mehmet Duman made a speech and stressed the importance of Sustainable Development Goals in energy efficiency. Mr. Duman emphasized and said: “Efficient use of innovation and resources in energy resources will support our fight against climate change”.
In this two-day forum, participants discussed on “Activities of the Ministry of National Education on Energy Management”, “Successful Practices on Energy Efficiency”, “Energy Efficiency Projects in Organized Industrial Zones, Industrial Facilities and Energy Cooperatives, Practices of Renewable Power Plants based on Energy Efficiency”, “Energy Efficiency Practices in Industry” and “Industry 4.0 Practices in Industry and Model Facilities”.
