A trip was organized to Miniatürk with refugee children and children from host community residing in Kağıthane district under the title “Let’s Explore our Beautiful Country” within the guidance of WALD Kağıthane Social Protection Desk. Children had the opportunity to examine miniatures of various historical works from Hittites to Seljuk Empire, from Ottoman Empire to Republic Period in this trip, which was organized to help children explore historical and natural beauties in our country.
Therefore, it was aimed to establish connection between refugee children and Turkey where they live in, help them know local culture and our cities and facilitate their social cohesion processes. Before this joyful and educating trip, children were briefly informed about Miniatürk and met with the warm-up game named “Let’s Get to Know Each Other”.
