Two training programs under the title of Access to Sources of Income and Licensing of Unregistered Workplaces were organized on December 24-25, 2019 within the scope of Social Protection Project held with the collaboration of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
These trainings organized in Anatolian and European Sides of İstanbul with the participation of people who are under temporary protection status in Turkey informed about raising employment opportunities for refugees, supporting them to earn their keep, improving their professional skills and raising their cohesion in labor market.
Att. Cenk Balsu, Social Protection Project Person in Charge of Sources of Income made a presentation at the meeting about the process of licensing unregistered workplaces.
Stating that refugees who want to benefit from licensing service should meet individual application terms, Mr. Balsu explained required conditions and terms for compliance of workplaces to be established with standards specified in the law and highlighted the importance of sharing these details with their circles.
At the following stages of the program, representatives of Turkish Red Crescent, Turkish Employment Agency and Social Security Institution shared their activities and supports in the field of sources of income and licensing of unregistered workplaces.
