Within the framework of the Social Protection Project carried out in cooperation with WALD, Kağıthane Municipality, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), children and parents came together at the Çağlayan Science Center for a theater performance organized as part of child-parent activities.
Organized with the aim of developing children's environmental awareness and creating awareness about the protection of natural habitats, the theater play titled “The Innocent Fox Comedy” offered its audience both an entertaining experience and delivered important messages regarding environmental consciousness. The performance enabled children to gain environmental awareness by explaining how the destruction of animals' natural habitats negatively affects their lives and causes harm to the environment.
The theater play “The Innocent Fox Comedy” offered a meaningful experience not only for children but also for families. Participating in the event together with their parents, children had the opportunity to watch an entertaining show while acquiring knowledge about environmental consciousness. Thus, providing a child-parent interaction environment, the event supported families in thinking together about environmental issues and developing a more conscious approach to the subject.
During the theater performance, children found the event highly beneficial, as they both had fun and gained valuable knowledge about environmental awareness. An important step was taken to ensure that children become more conscious environmental advocates in the future.
