Within the scope of the Social Protection Project, aquarium tours were organized with children from refugee and local communities. In the event organized by the Pendik Social Protection Desk, Emaar Aquarium & Underwater Zoo was visited, while in the event organized by the Avcılar Social Protection Desk, Istanbul Aqua Florya Aquarium was visited with the children participating in the mentorship project.

The events were carried out with the aims of instilling a love and awareness of animals in children, ensuring that they realize other living creatures also inhabit the social spaces where they live, enabling them to recognize differences by meeting animals they had not seen before, and contributing to their cultural development. During the events, information was provided to the children by guides regarding fish species, the characteristic features of fish, their natural habitats, and how they live in the aquarium. At the end of the events, the children came together over a meal where they had the opportunity to chat and converse with one another.
