Conducting research on what children experience physically and psychologically during various age stages and what their needs are during these periods, reading books on this subject, and attending given seminars if necessary enable parents to get to know their children better. A child who grows up feeling love within the family experiences a sense of attachment and trust. Therefore, a child needs a home environment where love prevails.

In this direction, under the leadership of the WALD Küçükçekmece Social Protection Desk, a "Conscious Parent Workshop" was organized on October 17. Lasting for four weeks and attended by individuals from both refugee and host communities, the conscious parent workshop aims to help mothers and fathers develop positive attitudes and behaviors toward their children, and to inform parents on many issues concerning children and youth. Topics such as "Points to Consider While Raising Children," "Psychosocial Development Stages of Children," "Technology Addiction in Children," and "Adjustment and Behavioral Disorders in Children" were covered in the workshop.

During the event, interactive presentations were conducted by WALD expert psychologists in which participants played an active role, addressing the physiological and psychological benefits of breast milk, the importance of attention, affection, patience, and trust in child-rearing, the place of reward and punishment in child education, and the benefits of playing games with parents. Following the presentations, participants' questions were answered, and parenting processes were mutually discussed. The event concluded with valuable feedback from the participants.
