Throughout history, art has gained importance as a means of expression. Scientific research shows that engaging in a branch of art changes a person's physiology, general attitude, and mood. Art also offers the opportunity to understand and express our ordinary lives in different ways through touching, seeing, hearing, and thinking.

With the idea that it is necessary to work on correcting psychological disorders through painting sometimes, music at other times, and theater at others, depending on the person's hidden talent, an "Art Workshop" event was organized on April 4, 2019, in cooperation with Doctors of the World (Médecins du Monde / DDD). Planned based on the healing power of art, the aim of the event is to contribute to the psychological recovery of refugee children and their mothers living in the Bağcılar region, and to develop their relationships by enhancing their capacity to both realize their own potential and coexist with other individuals.

Starting with the self-introduction of the study group, the event continued with an explanation of potential art activities, and handicrafts made in previous sessions were presented to the participants as examples. The activities lasted for a total of 8 weeks.
