As the World Academy for Local Government and Democracy (WALD), a journey through history was made in the unique beauty of the Bosphorus aboard the Üsküdar Valide Sultan Ship, with the participation of local residents alongside immigrants and refugees to whom we provide services in the fields of social protection and social cohesion.

This wonderful harmony created by participants coming together from different districts continued with mutual conversations enriched by the treat of tea and simit. On the upper deck of the two-story ship, participants enjoyed the beauty of Istanbul accompanied by musical performances, while the children enjoyed the day playing games. Against the backdrop of the Bosphorus's unique view, individuals from every language and tradition found the opportunity to mingle by meeting on a common ground.
