World Women’s Day

WALD carries out events to ensure that women take an active role in many fields such as education, business life, political participation, and health services in the scope of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In addition, it takes steps that will positively affect women's social and economic lives and ensure that they have equal opportunities in every field.

In this respect, Küçükçekmece Social Protection Desk organized on 8th March 2023 a special seminar for the International Women’s Day in partnership of WALD and QUADRA 2 Programme. In the program, in which women from different countries participated the importance of International Women's Day, women's labor, women's rights, violence against women, domestic violence and its types were discussed.

The meeting ended, where information was given on the Act No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and the Prevention of Violence Against Women.

Also the procedures for applying to the District Governor's Office, the Governor's Office, the Prosecutor's Office and the Family Court along with the information about the Women's Support Application (KADES), 112 Emergency Call Center, 183 Ministry of Family and Social Policies and 155 Police Helplines were shared.
