WALD IN HERA HEALTH APPLICATION TRAINING

HERA (Health Recording APP) mobile health application is developed to increase the prenatal health controls and vaccination rates of Syrian refugee women in Turkey. The main aim of the application is to regulate hospital records and follow-ups of hospital visits of this group.

WALD Team Leader Can Yılmaz closely followed the training in order to spread this mobil application at Social Protection Desks among refugee population.  The training attended by refugee beneficiaries living in Maltepe district was carried out by the Search and Rescue Association (MEDAK), which was developed of the HERA mobile application. 

The presentation made by MEDAK Trainer Dr. Ayşe Kaşıkırık at Gülsuyu Women's and Social Life Center on December 1, 2021 started with the introduction of the HERA Mobile Application. In the presentation where the details of the HERA mobile application were shared; the importance of vaccination during infancy, possible situations that may arise after vaccination, the importance of pregnancy controls and the benefits of the pregnant monitoring calendar were underlined.

At the end of the event, the participating refugee women were presented with hygiene packages donated to Maltepe Municipality by UNHCR and WALD.
