Visit to Sancaktepe Municipality

Mehmet DUMAN, WALD Chairman of the Executive Board paid a courtesy visit to Att. Şeyma DÖĞÜCÜ, Mayor of Sancaktepe.

In the meeting, Mayor Döğücü briefed Duman about the past works of Sancaktepe Municipality and presented information on the municipal activities especially on gender equality projects and collaborations. Döğücü underlined that they will continue to mainstream gender equality as Sancaktepe Municipality. She stated that they work meticulously and carefully in terms of women's participation in the workforce and entrepreneurship. 

Mehmet DUMAN, WALD Chairman of the Executive Board stated that it is of great importance in line with the Sustainable Development Goals that women should have broader representation in political, economic, and social lives and decision-making processes. In the meeting, participants also discussed the future projects that would be focused especially on women entrepreneurship.
