UNHCR Visits the Social Protection Desks

Dinçer Taşkıran, Gülper Kıraç, and Melek Özgür Pekbas, responsible for the Istanbul office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), paid a mission visit to the Social Protection Desks of the World Academy of Local Government and Democracy (WALD).

During the visit to the Pendik, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye, and Maltepe Social Protection Desks on the Anatolian side of Istanbul; WALD Academy Director Hülya Alper, Project Coordinator Nuriye Happani, Reporting Specialist Barış Timur Monitoring & Evaluation Officer Beyza Sohtorikoğlu, Team Leader Can Yılmaz, Attorney Furkan Beder, Attorney Esra Kuğu, Social Workers, at WALD's SKMs on the Anatolian Side The services provided were explained in detail.

During the visit, information was shared on the activities for the local people and refugees, and the needs and expectations for 2022, and which issues to prioritize were evaluated.
