Training on Preparedness for School

As WALD, within the framework of our mentorship activities, a seminar on "School Preparation Training for Parents" was held on 9 August, 2022 at the Sultangazi Social Protection Desk with the participation of foreign, immigrant, refugee and local beneficiaries in cooperation with UNHCR, IOM and Sultangazi Municipality. 

A difficult process awaits all parents shortly before the start of the new education period. In this context, in the seminar, the issue of what parents, who want their children to receive a good education with the dream of a better future, should pay attention to is discussed. In the program carried out with parents, especially, the importance of parents being aware of why children's education is important for their lives, being convinced of this, taking small steps for success, and that they should not compare the children with their peers and the importance of parents’ guidance for their children were mentioned.
