Quality Certificate Training in Mardin

World Academy of Local Government and Democracy Foundation (WALD) Academy Director Hülya Alper and Academy Project Coordinator Nuriye Happani attended the ESC50 Quality Certificate training program hosted by the Turkish National Agency for EU Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. During the three-day training held in Mardin on 25 – 28 June 2021, presentations were made on the European Solidarity Program Volunteering and Quality Certificate, Organizations' Rights and Responsibilities, Project Timeline, ESC Quality Label Application Process, Project Management Reporting, and Crisis Management.

 In the presentations made by the National Agency trainers Serap Yeter and Aytaç Uzunlaş, the participating institutions were informed in detail about the accreditation application forms prepared to apply for the volunteering projects within the European Solidarity Program and to request grants.

Also in education; Information about the ESC50 and ESC51 quality label application process and application form was also discussed. The number of volunteers, their budget, activities, and reporting processes were detailed in the applications that could be made through the ECAS System.

 Speaking on the third day of the training, İlker Astarcı, Head of the Turkish National Agency for the EU Presidency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, underlined the importance of EU grants and supports. In his speech, Astarcı gave information about projects and good practice examples provided by Erasmus+, Central Projects, and European Solidarity Program. The training program, which attracted great attention, ended with the institutions expressing their good wishes and thanks to the National Agency.
