Culinary Workshop activities are important activities that support the versatile development of children. Cooking develops children's attention, planning skills, mathematical thinking skills, aesthetic taste, creativity and manual dexterity. These skills also have positive effects on children's social-emotional development. Therefore, spending time in the kitchen supports both practical skills and mental and holistic development of children.
In this respect, as WALD, “Culinary Workshop with Children I Event” was carried out on March 9th 2023 with Expert Psychologists.
In this event; developing children's visual perception, aesthetic thinking skills and creativity skills by choosing materials, size and colors were aimed. Children were supported to learn by having fun and to express their feelings and thoughts through the game in this activity.
Besides the kitchen workshop, in the second part of the event took place on March 17th 2023, activities were carried out with the mother and children to develop attention through music and games. It was aimed that mothers and children do activities together, instilling a sense of trust in the child, and at the same time, it was aimed for mothers to spend time with their children's peers and to observe their communication and motor skills.
