It's Time for Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival…
We attended the Beyoğlu Cultural Road Festival organized by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism with the children of Istanbul coming from different districts of Istanbul.
The photography exhibition titled "Once Upon a Time in Istanbul", curated by Murat Gür and opened at the Tarık Zafer Tunaya Cultural Center, sheds light on the change that the historical city has undergone from a century ago to the present day with its twenty-four photographs. The exhibition, which includes the nostalgic photographs of beautiful Istanbul, which were colored later, and the modern works of many photographers who adopted different movements and schools, was introduced to children with the narration of Murat Gür.After the Cultural Road Trip, the program continued with the experience of street photography on the cobblestone slopes of Beyoğlu. Pera, with its historical apartments with French balconies, named with different alphabets, and now cafes are located on the ground floor, were placed in the photo frames. Orhan Veli's "Gossip" on the high pavement and Hezarfen's wings on the Galata Tower came to mind. The tour with the children of Istanbul in the historical streets of Pera ended with a photo shoot from the Galata Tower.
