European Youth Alliance for Green Future..

“European Youth Alliance for Green Future Project”, which is implemented by WALD, is based on the question of how young people, who are the decision makers of the future, can take action in solving the environmental problems they face in the society they live in. The partners of our Project, which is funded under the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership Program, are the European Academy of the Regions (EAR-AER) from Belgium, the ZIP Institute from North Macedonia and E-CIVIS from Romania.

Within the scope of our project, in order to raise awareness especially among the youth, the "Green Deal Handbook", where every citizen can easily grasp the concepts of green deal, and the application developed to measure the daily actions of individuals and the effects of these actions on the environment, have been developed as the main output of the project.

The training on "Green Deal and Active Citizenship" held in Istanbul between 5-11 September is another important pillar of our project. Young people from Project partners Belgium, Romania and North Macedonia came to Istanbul and experienced both theoretical and practical knowledge on the subjects of "Active Citizenship, Democratic Participation and Green Deal". While valuable academics of Altınbaş University enriched education with theoretical knowledge, experts working in Bağcılar Municipality shared their experiences with the environmental services and policies they provided in Bağcılar district.
