Empowering Others: Event Launches for Children on World Humanitarian Day

As part of World Humanitarian Day, the World Academy of Local Government and Democracy Foundation (WALD) on Aug. 24 hosted a solidarity and assistance event for children at the Bağcılar Social Protection Desk.

This special event, facilitated by psychologists, aimed to foster stronger bonds of friendship among children by imparting the importance of sharing, cooperation, and solidarity.

Under the guidance of psychologists, children were encouraged to think in diverse ways by posing questions such as "Who Can You Help and How?" with an aim of creating discussions that would enhance their capacity for empathy.

Throughout the event, children were taught the value of being considerate and offering assistance not only for their own needs but also for the needs of others.
