Cultural Encounter

As World Academy for Local Governments and Democracy (WALD), through Gaziosmanpaşa Urban Harmonization Unit and Bağcılar Social Protection Desk, a cultural trip was organized to Miniatürk on 9 November 2023 for the beneficiaries we serve in these districts. This event provided participants with the opportunity to learn about Turkish and world culture, art and architecture from ancient times to the present, contributing to cultural enrichment and strengthening social ties.

The visits to Miniatürk provided an educational experience for the participants on history, architecture and culture. The event created a positive social impact, especially among Turkish and Syrian women, enabling refugee women to be more integrated into society while also creating a cultural meeting point.

This cultural program, which aims to enrich the culture of life, aims to arouse curiosity in the participants, create a desire to learn, strengthen social ties and contribute to the creation of a deeper bond between individuals through shared experiences.
