Children's Social Adaptation Workshop Gets Them Ready for Back to School

The process of children adapting to school is a significant milestone in their lives. It plays a crucial role in their ability to form new friendships, their enthusiasm for learning, and the development of their social skills. During this period, children build relationships with their teachers and peers, fostering an interest in learning.

To facilitate the school adaptation process for children, the "Back to School Workshop" was organized by the World Academy of Local Government and Democracy Foundation (WALD) in preparation for the new academic year. This workshop took place on Sept. 19 at the Küçükçekmece Social Protection Desk.

The event, conducted with the assistance of psychologists, began with an opportunity for children to get to know each other, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere among participants. Each child shared their holiday experiences, aimed at strengthening group communication and helping children establish bonds with one another.

Towards the end of the event, a study program was provided to the children, intended to assist students in developing regular study habits and a sense of responsibility as they embark on the new academic year.
