Call for Project Proposals for the Cross-border Cooperation Program in the Black Sea Basin

The “Cross-border Cooperation in the Black Sea Basin” project call promotion program was held in Istanbul on May 11th 2023 by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs. Along with WALD, representatives of municipalities, universities, governorships and non-governmental organizations from 25 different provinces participated in the program.

In the meeting, the topics of “A Smarter and Competitive Europe” and “A Greener and Low-Carbon Europe” were discussed by the representatives of the Directorate for EU Affairs, “general and basic principles and requirements of projects, initial call for proposals, grant application package, application process in the Joint Electronic Monitoring-System (JEMS), disaster risk prevention, conservation and development of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including urban areas” topics were shared in detail.

In the second part of the program; EU Affairs Specialist Serkan Bozkurt, in his presentation in which he deepened many important details on the first call for proposals and grant application, underlined the importance of contacting the countries that have a coast to the Black Sea and located in the basin in their search for international partners for the projects whose application deadline is July 4th.
