Since 1993, WALD has been diligently working to develop innovative, sustainable, and inclusive solutions to local challenges. We aim to build a better world through the projects we implement. In this context, the environment—one of the most critical issues of recent years—is a key item on our agenda.

What Are Our Project Objectives?

The project’s overall goal is to enhance the democratic participation capacity of young entrepreneurial leaders—who will be the decision-makers of the future—and to instill in them the mindset of the "EU Green Deal."

Our planned activities within this framework include:

Preparing the outputs of the EU Green Deal Alliance as a book and raising awareness among young entrepreneurial leaders who will shape future decision-making.

Establishing youth councils, assemblies, forums, and meetings to create a platform where these young leaders can conduct needs analyses, deliver presentations, and propose solutions regarding "Green Deal" practices.

Enhancing the democratic participation capacity and awareness of Europe's future decision-makers, as well as generating new solution proposals, through a series of training sessions and activities.

Developing information and communication technologies to facilitate the implementation of the Green Deal Alliance’s core concepts.

A total of 100 beneficiaries from four partner countries—Turkey, Belgium, Macedonia, and Romania—will participate in the project (25 young people from each country).Project Outputs

Developing proposed solutions to foster active citizenship and democratic participation capacity, and to raise awareness, with the aim of increasing youth civic engagement.

Instilling the "Green Deal" mindset in future decision-makers through training sessions, events, and activities. Educating young people on the implementation steps of local government policies. Establishing an "Information and Communication Technologies" tool aligned with the "Green Deal Alliance" goals and simplifying these objectives by linking them to everyday actions. Creating a network and fostering collaboration among aspiring young entrepreneurial leaders and partners (including the development of a mobile application). Establishing a discussion platform—via an e-Parliament system—where young people from different countries, who will become the decision-makers of the future, can participate.
