WRITING PETITION TRAINING TO REFUGEE WOMEN

It is very important for people to express themselves in terms of fundamental rights and obligations, and the importance of the petition in Turkish law, where the written trial procedure is dominant, is an indisputable fact. For this reason, as the World Academy for Local Government and Democracy (WALD), to the refugees who came to our country for various reasons such as war; "Official Writing, Correspondence, and Writing Petition" training was held for refugee women living in Gaziosmanpaşa and Kağıthane districts.

"Official Writing, Correspondence, and Writing Petition" training was provided to refugee women through the Kağıthane and Gaziosmanpaşa Social Protection Desks online on 01 December 2021, in order to teach them how to convey their complaints, thoughts or requests to the authorities.

Official letters and petitions were defined by WALD Social Protection Desk Lawyer Zeynep Demir and it was underlined by her what should be considered while creating these letters during the training. The official applications and concrete examples made by the participants were evaluated together and guiding explanations were provided about the applications they considered in future. At the end of the training, it was stated that WALD Social Protection Desks (SPD) will provide legal support on similar issues.
