WALD CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES DR. ARCHITECT KADİR TOPBAŞ WAS COMMEMORATED

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of WALD, Dr. Architect Kadir Topbaş commemoration was held with the participation of Lebanon Dannieh Municipalities Union and UCLG-MEWA President Mohamed Saadieh, WALD Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mustafa Ünal, WALD Chairman of the Board Mehmet Duman, WALD Board of Trustees Members and WALD employees. He was commemorated by his grave in Fatih Mosque Graveyard after one year of his passing away.

WALD Chairman of the Board Duman, in his speech at the commemoration, said that Topbaş performed a very important task in carrying the local government movement from Istanbul to the world.

The leadership of Topbaş was expressed with honor and pride by everyone, Duman mentioned in his speech, "Just as he did the job in Istanbul, Kadir Topbaş gave this job more than its due in the international arena. He explained the stage Turkey has reached in terms of local administration and the Middle East and West. He carried out his duty as the representative of our region by carrying all the works in the Asian region to the world. He also showed maximum effort in moving the foundation forward and reaching today. Even when he was being treated at the hospital, he personally called and asked, 'Do we have any problems?' He showed us once again that he is extremely sensitive about the sustainability of this business. At the meetings held for the anniversary of his death, we saw that Kadir Topbaş planted the seeds of peace and left the seeds of friendship around him."

WALD Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mustafa Ünal stated that Kadir Topbaş has brought very important works to the city and said, “The understanding of respect and love for the people and Istanbul he left behind will continue to be a source of inspiration for all of us. Our hearts will always be with him, and future generations will remember our deceased President fondly.” using his expressions.

UCLG-MEWA President Mohamed Saadieh also stated in his speech that the organization has come to a very good point thanks to the work of Kadir Topbaş. Saadieh said " You all know what he did for Istanbul. But he did good things not only for Istanbul and Turkey, but for all humanity" in his speech.

After the speeches, Quran was recited and prayers were said at the grave of the Dr. Architect Kadir Topbaş.
