Training Program for Improving the Local Economy After the Covid-19 Pandemic Was Held
A training program on "Approaches, Methods and Tools for Host Municipalities to Collaborate with the Private Sector" was held between 31 May and 15 June 2021. The event is organized by Mediterranean Integration Center (CMI). WALD, CMI, World Bank, Host Municipalities Learning Network (HMLN), Marmara Municipalities Union (MBB), and Middle East countries (Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestine) 45 local governments representatives focused on specifically purchasing products to improve the local economy, deepening management's knowledge and capacity building for the private sector.
On the first day of the event, interviews were held on the importance of the private sector working with local governments and the problems faced by refugees during the Covid-19 pandemic.
On the last day of the event, the participants shared their comments and suggestions within the framework of local, and private sector cooperation and made evaluations about future projects.
