THE IMPORTANCE OF HYGIENE FOR HEALTHY LIFE

A training program emphasizing the importance of hygiene in our lives was held on 21-22 October 2021 in cooperation with Maltepe Municipality to strengthen the social cohesion of refugee and host society women and to raise awareness about hygiene during the Covid-19 pandemic process.

The training was organized within the scope of the Social Protection Project, which we carried out together with UNHCR; 46 women from Maltepe Municipality who served in the Women and Family Directorate, Social Support Services Directorate, and Hospital Directorate participated.

Nurse Ömür Güden, in the practical training in which the hygiene rules to be considered in the personal, general, and family during the Covid-19 pandemic process were discussed, "Microorganisms, Importance of Health, Skin and Body Cleaning, Hand and Foot Cleaning, Genital Hygiene, Mouth and Teeth Cleaning, Information was shared on the topics of Lice Prevention, Environment Cleaning, and Care, Toilet Cleaning, Protection of Food and Food Products, Intoxication Symptoms.

At the end of the program; Nurse Güden, who gave information about what to do during the epidemic process on "Mask, Distance, and Hygiene", underlined that hygiene is an important practice that needs attention both in the home and in common spaces during the Covid-19 process. At the end of the event, brochures prepared by the Hospital Directorate and hygiene packages prepared by UNHCR were presented to the participants. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the Hygiene Training and stated that the applied training was very valuable and instructive for them.

WALD TRAINING CONTINUE

Within the scope of the Social Protection Project, which we, as WALD, provide services in the district of Maltepe in cooperation with UNHCR, an information meeting titled "Truly Known Errors Regarding Refugees Regarding Public Personnel and Legal Legislation" was held on October 18, 2021,s with the participation of the personnel of the Maltepe Municipality Social Support Services Directorate.

At the meeting, which was held as a single session and attended by 20 participants from the relevant units of Maltepe Municipality; The rights and obligations of refugees as well as new developments and changes in this field are discussed.
