Supporting Innovative and Entrepreneur Women Project Launches!

Women empowerment in economic and social spheres underlies the sustainable development of countries. On the other hand, preserving and fostering humanitarian values become more significant with the recent developments in today’s world. For this reason, it is impossible to explain the importance of women empowerment only from a gender-based perspective while disregarding its value in rising, nurturing next generations as well as strengthening families. Women empowerment is quite significant objective in terms of accessing individual rights and benefits and strengthening family and community structures. 

As WALD, we conduct various activities with different institutions and organizations and care about raising awareness of community in order to empower women in social sphere, ensure them to live humanely, enable them to attain positions they deserve in education, science, politics, economy, etc. and help them add value to the field studies.  In this regard, we, as WALD family, launch “Supporting Women Entrepreneurship” project in two pilot regions in cooperation with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), Gaziosmanpaşa and Sultangazi Municipalities. 

Within the scope of project to launch in November 2020, we plan to participate women in production through kitchen and sewing workshops and to put their products up for sale on digital markets and local sales points as created by local governments. With this Project, we aim to improve the capabilities and increase the employability of women as well as ensure women integration in economic and social spheres of life.
