Mentorship Training to Million Women

TurkishWIN, the mentor-mentee program “Sisterhood Network”, is a global women's platform that provides scalable, digital services to empower women in Turkey. In this context, the World Academy of Local Government and Democracy (WALD) participated in the first ecosystem meeting of the program as a stakeholder of the “Mentoring Millions of Women” training.

With “Mentorship to Million Women” program which aims to gather STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and sector leaders on a digital platform WALD is to provide institutional mentorship support to the mentee group assigned by the program system.

As such, WALD attended an online meeting aiming to further the cooperation between Turkish Women's International Network (TurkishWIN) and WALD. During this meeting further possibilities have been discussed for cooperation with the representatives of various entities and contact details have been exchanged. A member of Turkish Women Entrepreneurs’ Association (KADİGER) Melek Yıldız, has emphasized the need to further the cooperation with WALD on empowering refugee women.
