Journey through the Pera Museum…

As WALD, a trip to the Pera Museum was organized within the scope of the 17th Istanbul Biennial with the participation of foreign, immigrant, refugee and local counselees at Gaziosmanpaşa Social Protection Desk on October 21, 2022, in cooperation with UNHCR, İKSV and WALD within the framework of social cohesion activities. The main purpose of the project is to establish communication between artists and art lovers from different cultures, as well as to provide a permanent interaction between the culture-art universe in Turkey and on a global scale, to play an active role in the production of culture and art and to contribute to the creation of cultural policies. In this regard, the artists of the works in the exhibition introduced their works to the exhibitors by guiding the museum.

The exhibition, which provides many contributions to people in the field of both general culture and personal development, attracted the attention of the participants. Seeing the artifacts exhibited in the museum in three dimensions in relation to time and space, feeling, living in that atmosphere, provided individuals with the opportunity to observe. Thus, individuals had the chance to experience an atmosphere different from their daily lives.
