Children Are Not Workers, We are Ready to Challenge
WALD carried out a social media campaign for social responsibility with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Women's National Football Team, within the context of June 12, World Day Against Child Labour. In the video published on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, the children who came together with Kezban Tağ, Ezgi Çağlar, Ecem Cümert, and Benan Altıntaş from the TFF Women's National Football Team said, “Children are not workers. We are ready to challenge" in unison.
Ezgi Çağlar, one of the football players who took part in the video work, which was realized with the valuable contributions of Oğuz Çetin TFF Football Development Director and Necla Güngör TFF Women's National Football Team Coach Kıragası said "I wholeheartedly support all efforts to eliminate child labor". Ecem Cümert stated that "Education makes our children bright to the future; art will lead to originality, sports will lead to success”. Benan Altındaş said that “Unfortunately, 720 thousand of 16 million children in Turkey are employed as child laborers” and Kezban Tağ “It will be possible to prevent child labor with the joint efforts of all of us”. The children in the video shared that they are not today's child workers and they have their dream jobs in the future. The video was published on social media.
