Courtesy Visit to our Foundation by the President of Lebanon Dannieh Municipalities Union

Mr. Mohammed SAADIEH, President of Lebanon’s Dannieh Municipalities Union and Honorary President of United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia (UCLG-MEWA) and Deputy Ombudsman, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Mehmet DUMAN, Chairman of the Board of Directors of World Academy for Local Government and Democracy Foundation (WALD) on Jan. 23.

During the visit, Mr. SAADIEH shared information about the current situation of local governments in Lebanon and explained the problems and difficulties experienced due to the economic crisis. During the bilateral meeting, strengthening cooperation between local governments in Türkiye and Lebanon, capacity building, and establishing new project partnerships on different topics were discussed and mutually agreed upon.
