Architect Cemil Coşkun BUDAK

After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture at Istanbul Technical university in 1986, Coşkun completed his master's in the same faculty under the Department of Construction Sciences in the field of "Construction Management Economy and Cost Planning" in 1987. While continuing his doctorate studies in the same field of cost planning between 1990-1993, he compiled his work on e-municipality management in a booklet titled "Nasıl Bir Belediye Yönetimi". During his doctorate studies, he worked on ecological planning, use of meteorological data in urban planning, ecological building design models and simulation models for building energy performance. 

Since 1986, he has worked in Budak Architecture Construction Company as designer and project manager in construction and project work. He has been working on ecological architecture and urban planning in Akademya Ecological Architecture Firm since 2008. He is also working as the chief editor for companies such as Zeytin Radyo TV and Radyo Z, which he has owned since 1993. Having worked in management positions in many foundations, Budak is currently the Chairman of Zeytinburnu Urban Transformation Ecological Planning Foundation and Istanbul Council Foundation, a member of the board of directors of Zeytinburnu Human Rights Board and since 2018 a member of the board of trustees of WALD.
